1. Introduction

TextBridge ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our Android application and web service.

By using TextBridge, you consent to the data practices described in this policy.

2. How TextBridge Works

TextBridge is a zero-authentication notification sync service. There are no accounts, passwords, or user profiles.

When you install the Android app:

  • The app generates a unique 6-character access code
  • You grant notification access permission via Android's NotificationListenerService
  • Notifications from your apps are securely synced to our cloud servers
  • You can view your notifications on any device by visiting textbridge.cloud and entering your code

3. Notification Access Permission

Important: This app uses Android's NotificationListenerService

This permission allows TextBridge to read notifications from other apps. We use this solely to sync your notifications to the cloud so you can access them from any device.

We collect notifications from:

  • All installed apps on your device (except system apps)
  • This includes SMS, messaging apps, email, banking apps, and other applications

We do NOT:

  • Read notifications from system services (Android UI, Play Services, etc.)
  • Access notifications when the app is uninstalled or permission is revoked
  • Share notification content with any third parties for advertising

4. Information We Collect

Automatically Collected:

  • Notification content: Title and body text of notifications
  • App identifier: Package name of the app that sent the notification
  • Timestamp: When the notification was received
  • Device identifier: A randomly generated UUID (not linked to your identity or Google account)
  • Phone numbers: SIM card phone numbers (if available) to help identify your device
  • SIM information: Carrier name and country code for device identification

User-Provided:

  • Phone number: Entered during setup to help you identify your notifications

NOT Collected:

  • Name or email address
  • Precise location data
  • Contacts or call logs
  • Photos, files, or other media
  • Advertising identifiers
  • Device hardware information (model, serial number, etc.)

5. How We Use Your Information

We use your notification data exclusively to:

  • Sync notifications to our secure cloud servers
  • Display notifications on the web dashboard when you enter your access code
  • Detect OTP/verification codes for easy copying
  • Provide real-time notification updates

We do NOT use your data for:

  • Advertising or marketing
  • Profiling or behavioral analysis
  • Sale to third parties
  • Any purpose other than providing the sync service

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is protected by:

  • Encryption in transit: All data is transmitted over HTTPS
  • Secure authentication: A 64-character secret token authenticates sync requests
  • Access control: Only those with your 6-character code can view notifications
  • Cloud infrastructure: Data is stored on Supabase servers with enterprise-grade security

Security Notice: Your 6-character access code functions as a password. Anyone who knows your code can view all your synced notifications. Keep it private and do not share it publicly.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Retention: Notifications are stored for 30 days, after which they are automatically deleted.

Deletion: You can delete your data at any time by:

  • Uninstalling the Android app (stops new syncs)
  • Revoking notification access permission in Android Settings
  • Contacting us at privacy@textbridge.cloud to request complete data deletion

When you uninstall the app or revoke permissions, syncing stops immediately. Existing data remains accessible via your code until automatically purged after 30 days.

8. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate TextBridge:

  • Supabase: Database hosting and real-time sync (PostgreSQL)
  • Vercel: Web application hosting

These services process data solely to provide TextBridge functionality. We do not share your notification content with any advertising networks, analytics services, or data brokers.

9. Children's Privacy

TextBridge is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with information, please contact us at privacy@textbridge.cloud.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

  • Access: View your synced notifications via your access code
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your data by contacting us
  • Opt-out: Stop syncing by uninstalling the app or revoking permissions
  • Portability: Request a copy of your data in a machine-readable format

11. Google Play Data Safety

In accordance with Google Play's Data Safety requirements, here is a summary of our data practices:

Data Collected:

  • Notification content (titles, body text)
  • Phone numbers (SIM-based and user-provided)
  • Device identifiers (randomly generated, not linked to Google account)

Data Practices:

  • Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS)
  • Data is NOT sold to third parties
  • Data is NOT used for advertising or profiling
  • Data deletion is available on request
  • Data is automatically deleted after 30 days

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Continued use of TextBridge after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
